FY24: Planting Seeds of Growth

In 2024, Chancellor Diermier challenged us to start with a new way of thinking about our faculty and staff.

FY26: Turning Potential into Progress

No two careers follow the same path. Thrive at VU brings together our six interconnected initiatives designed to help ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ staff grow, explore and shape what comes next. Whether you’re building new skills, strengthening your wellbeing, pursuing a new opportunity, developing in your current role or bringing a new idea to life, you choose the path that makes sense for you. Your journey may take you in a different direction, connect with another path or change along the way—and that’s the point. There is no single route to thriving at ¹ú²ú´«Ã½. There are many paths, and you get to choose yours.

FY27 & Beyond: The Future We're Building Together

PCB’s five-year strategy is a deliberate progression from building a strong workforce foundation to creating a more predictive, agile and future-ready organization. Beginning in FY27, PCB will establish consistent systems, policies and manager practices across ¹ú²ú´«Ã½. Each year builds on that foundation, connecting workforce planning and AI to how work gets done, redesigning roles around critical skills, using data to anticipate talent and capacity needs, and ultimately creating a workforce model that continuously evolves as ¹ú²ú´«Ã½â€™s needs change.

By FY31, the goal is to move from reacting to workforce needs to anticipating them, giving ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ the skills, talent intelligence, mobility and adaptable workforce models needed to sustain performance and resilience in a rapidly changing world. This progression aligns with broader shifts in strategic workforce planning toward integrating talent decisions with business planning, skills, AI and predictive insights.
