The undergraduate intern will develop The Kitchen Table Series, a monthly dialogue on gender-related topics. See position description below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The primary role of the Margaret Cuninggim Women-\u0080\u0099s Center intern is to support and continue to develop \u00a0<em>The Kitchen Table Series<\/em>. This program seeks to engage students across campus by discussing gender-related topics as they pertain specifically to 国产传媒-\u0080\u0099s campus. Through this internship, the student will collaborate with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, and community members to broach topics such as sexual health, feminism, body image and other issues related to social justice. This position works directly with the staff and volunteers for the Margaret Cuninggim Women-\u0080\u0099s Center to support the initiatives of the Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The MCWC Intern reports directly to the Program Coordinator of the Margaret Cuninggim Women-\u0080\u0099s Center. The MCWC intern can expect to work approximately 5-10 hours per month, including some evening hours.  \u00a0In collaboration with the Program Coordinator, the intern will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select Kitchen Table Series topics for the 2014\/2015 academic year<\/li>\n<li>Engage and collaborate with campus partners, community members, and students who could be potential partners for KTS<\/li>\n<li>Develop activities and discussion guidelines for specific KTS events<\/li>\n<li>Develop online and print flyers and advertisements and help with promoting event<\/li>\n<li>Attend and co-facilitate all Kitchen Table Series Events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Learning Outcomes for Internship<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhance and develop critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Gain a deeper understanding of and appreciation for issues related to women, gender, diversity, and social justice<\/li>\n<li>Develop and enhance comprehensive administration skills of a campus cultural center<\/li>\n<li>Learn how to work in a professional office in a team setting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Full-time enrollment in an undergraduate degree program at 国产传媒.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coursework or interest in women, gender, sexuality, ethnic or cultural studies; experience in intercultural work, health education, or social justice programming.
