The blasting is expected to continue through Oct. 31.<\/p>\n<p>Blasting will occur on weekdays at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Construction personnel will be stationed along the perimeter to block pedestrian and vehicle traffic during blasting. Vehicle traffic along West End Avenue also will be blocked during all blasting periods.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A series of horn blasts -\u0080\u0093 four to five horn blasts -\u0080\u0093 will precede<strong> <\/strong>each blasting period. The timing protocols for the blastings are as follows:<\/p>\n<p> \u00b7 \u00a0<strong>Five minutes prior to blast<\/strong> -\u0080\u0094 construction personnel will move to their designated perimeter posts.<\/p>\n<p> \u00b7 \u00a0<strong>Three minutes prior to blast<\/strong> -\u0080\u0094 construction personnel will block all pedestrian traffic (campus and along West End Avenue).<\/p>\n<p> \u00b7 \u00a0<strong>One minute prior to blast<\/strong> -\u0080\u0094construction personnel will block all vehicle traffic along West End Avenue.<\/p>\n<p> \u00b7 \u00a0<strong>After blast<\/strong>-\u0080\u0094 All clear (long single horn blast) will be sounded after each blast.
