Why has North Korea aggressively developed its nuclear program and are there options for addressing it? 聽This talk will discuss the history of the Korea鈥檚 nuclear program and what factors led to the current crisis. We will explore why North Korea鈥檚 ambitions are different than other countries. Finally, the talk will examine strategies for confronting the challenges presented by North Korea鈥檚 nuclear program. In particular, we will discuss possible US actions as well as the role of other countries such as China, Japan, and South Korea.
