AlertVU test scheduled

Tuesday, September 18th

10:00a.m.

 will conduct a test of the  emergency notification system on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m.

AlertVU rapidly sends notification messages in the event of an imminent threat or danger to the ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ community, such as a tornado or active shooter.

All ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ students, faculty and staff are automatically enrolled in the system using their ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ email address.

Cell phone numbers provided by students to the university are also automatically entered in the AlertVU database. Faculty and staff can register other contact points, such as cell or home phone numbers or personal email accounts to receive AlertVU messages when they are away from their ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ email accounts.

Please be sure to update emergency contact information annually.

• Students can update their information through the YES system.
• Faculty and staff members can update their information through Oracle.
