Autism Awareness Month Begins: FCAI Advancing Inclusion Through Research, Partnerships, and Practice

April 1 marks the start of Autism Awareness Month, a time to increase understanding, celebrate autistic voices, and strengthen environments where neurodivergent people can thrive. At FCAI, our work focuses on practical, evidence-informed strategies that expand access, belonging, and opportunity across education and employment.

We would like to take this time to remind our followers of some of the work we do and how you can get involved. Throughout the year, FCAI collaborates with autistic self-advocates, educators, entrepreneurs, employers, and community partners to translate research into real-world impact. Our initiatives include building inclusive employment pathways, developing tools and trainings for organizations, and supporting research that elevates strengths-based, social-model and human-centered approaches.

This month, we will be sharing stories, resources, and highlights from our work. We invite our community to follow along, participate, and help amplify practices that support neurodiversity.
